Episcia ’Chocolate Shine’. 1968, IR68098, D. Allen. [R. White]. (chance seedling of unknown parents). Leaves black, pebbled with green midrib, maroon underneath, sparsely hairy. Flowers orange-red. Commercially introd. 1970, West Coast Gesneriads advt., GSN 7(1):6. H. Harmon suggested the name. Unlisted since 1970. Extinct?
