Primulina ‘Garden Festival’, 2022, IR221727, hybridized by Le Luo, Bo Li, Dong He, Jiancun Chen, Qixiang Zhang; School of Landscape Architecture, Beijing Forestry University, Beijing, China. (P. ‘Purple Sandae’ x P. medica). Cross made 03.2019, seeds planted 06.2019, first flowering 03.2021. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves peak green, 15.7-17.3 cm long, 6.6-8.1 cm wide, 2.6-6.0 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, pale green, 7-9 mm. Length of the pedicel 2.2-3.6 cm, 8-11 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.4-6.0 cm long, 3.0-4.1 cm wide, pinkish purple to purple. This hybrid has strong shade-tolerance, and a great indoor viewing potential. The flowering period lasts from January to April.
