Sinningia ‘Saga’

Sinningia ‘Saga’, 2016, IR161317, hybridized by Ray Coyle, New York (S. ‘Apricot Bouquet’ S. araneosa). Cross made 05/08, planted 07/08, and first flowered 07/09.  Fertile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Multi crowned growth habit, similar to the seed parent, 30cm erect stems.  Leaves medium green, 7 cm long x 5 cm wide with 1-2 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, crenate margin and acute tip. Calyx split, green, 0.4 cm. Pedicel 3 cm with 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.5 cm long x 2 cm wide, raspberry w/light pink throat.
