Sinningia ‘Cajun Sunrise’

Sinningia ‘Cajun Sunrise’, 2013, IR131212, Sharon Crochet, LA. (S. ‘Super Orange’ x S. ‘Scarlet Sunset’). Cross made May 9, 2012, planted June 6, 2012 and first flowered Nov. 14, 2012. Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Tuberous, compact rosette may have several crowns. Leaves deep green, light green reverse, 2.75 in. long x 2.5 in. wide with 1 in. petiole, ovate with crenate margin, acute tip and cordate base. Calyx 0.125 in. long, leafy, reddish green. Pedicel 2 in. tall with 2-3 flowers. Corolla salverform, 1.875 in. long x 1 in. wide, deep salmon orange with dark reddish streak from inside throat to lip, outside of corolla deep orange.
