Streptocarpus ‘Black Beauty’. 1999, IR99570, J. Ford, OH. [1982]. (‘North Star’ x ‘North Star’ selfed). Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette. Leaves smooth, dark green, 20 cm long x 5.5 cm wide, elliptic with crenate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. 1-3 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, tube 2.75 cm long, limb 4.8 cm x 4 cm, dark purple/black with a white throat, slightly ruffled edges. Available from Rock Bottom Farms, LTD., OH.
