Streptocarpus ’Christmas Morning’. 1999, IR99589, J. Ford, OH. [prior to 1975]. (‘Captain Blood’ x ‘Oglevee’s Red’). Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette. Leaves bullate, dark green, 32 cm long x 4 cm wide, elliptic with crenate margin and acute tip. 2-3 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, tube 4.5 cm long, limb 7.8 cm x 7.6 cm, very large deep velvety red with bright yellow throat. First commercial listing 1989, Tiki Nurs. cat.
