gesneriads, in addition to other topics.
Unless stated otherwise, to subscribe to a list you
send email with a message in the format
"subscribe list name your name" without the
quotes. Do not put anything else in the body of the
message. The list name is the the name of the mailing
list as given below, your name is self explanatory. It
is generally considered in good taste to use your real
name when joining a discussion list.
If your browser supports sending electronic mail,
you may simply click on the address of the list to
which you want to subscribe. Enter the appropriate
command in the body of the message. Be sure there is
nothing else in the body of the letter, such as a
signature. Once you are subscribed to a list, you will
receive a document with detailed directions for
posting to the discussion, and for changing your
subscription parameters. Please read this document
carefully and save it for future reference.
