Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Stemless rosette with opposite leaves, to 12 in. across or more. Leaves sparsely hairy, bright green, somewhat shiny, 6-7 in. long and 3-4 in. wide with ½ -1 in. petiole, ovate with crenate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. Calyx split, pale green, tinged lavender, peduncle 6 in. tall, 6-8 or more flowers per leaf axil.
