Sinningia ‘Arkansas Bells’, 2009, IR091118, Jon Lindstrom, AR. (S. sellovii x S. tubiflora). Cross made May, 2003, planted June, 2003 and first flowered May, 2004. Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Tuberous, behaving as a herbaceous perennial, shrub-like when in active growth, up to 100 cm tall. Leaves hairy, green, veins impressed on upper surface, 64.3 mm long x 34.9 mm wide with 4.7 mm petiole, elliptic to lanceolate with crenate margin, acute tip and cordate base on lower leaves, oblique base on upper leaves. Calyx split, green, 10.4 mm long, pedicel 21.8 mm long with 1-2 flowers in leaf axil. Corolla campanulate, 46.5 mm long x 17.8 mm wide, exterior pink, interior white, edged pink with pink stippling leading to interior of flowers. Winter hardy (USDA Zone 7a-south), long flowering time (June to frost), flowers on long inflorescences displayed above foliage.
