Primulina ‘Dan’s Morning Glow’

Primulina ‘Dan’s Morning Glow’, 2019, IR191474, hybridized by Lai Bi-dan and Huang Yi-qing; Nanning, China. (P. linearicalyx x P. lutea). Cross made 11/05/2014, seeds planted 12/20/2014, first flowered 10/25/2018. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, length of the stem 3-10 cm. Leaves yellow green, 6-8 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, 2-2.5 cm long petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, entire margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, reddish orange, 1.3-1.5 cm long. Pedicel 1.3-2.5 cm long with 2-4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5-5.5 cm long x 2.3-2.6 cm wide, light orange yellow. A slow growing hybrid, suitable to a very good light but not direct sun, temperature range is 0-35℃. Ability to resist disease and stress is not so strong.
