Primulina ‘Early Spring’

Primulina ‘Early Spring’, 2020, IR201497, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao, Shikai Guan, Qian Song, Nanning, China. (P. macrorhiza  x  P. sp.). Cross made 03.20.2018, seeds planted 05.02.2018, first flowered 02.18.2020. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves light green with white veins, 9.2-13.4 cm long, 4.7-6.8 cm wide, 3.7-7.8 cm long petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, serrate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, green, 0.7 -1.0 cm long. Pedicel 4-10 cm long with 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.9-6.5 cm long x 1.5-1.7 cm wide, purplish to purple. Suitable to grow in a weaker scattered light environment, relatively moist substrate, temperature range 10-40℃.
