Primulina ‘Purple Rose’, 2019, IR191460, hybridized by Hai-xia Yan, Zi-bin Zhang, Xue-qiang Cui, Chang-yan Huang; Nanning, China. (P. liguliformis (W. T. Wang) Mich. Möller & A.Weber x P. brachytricha (W. T. Wang & D.Y. Chen) R.B.Mao & Yin Z.Wang var. brachytricha). Cross made 04.12.2017, seeds planted 06.05.2017, first flowered 05.18.2019. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves dark green, 6.9-13.0 cm long, 7.0-14.1 cm wide, 2.6-4.7 cm long petiole, orbicular with cuneate base, serrate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, green, 0.7-1.2 cm long. Pedicel 2.5-3.1 cm long with 7-12 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.3-4.5 cm long x 1.4-1.6 cm wide. Corolla dark purple. Easy grower, prefers bright scattered natural light, moist but well-drained substrate, temperature range is 0-37℃.
