Primulina ‘Ruby Gown’

Primulina ‘Ruby Gown’, 2018, IR181415, registered by Hui Xu, Wen-Jun Lv, Sheng Huang; Wu Han, China. (P. yunfuensis x P. sp.). Cross made 05.26.2016, seeds planted 09.27.2016, first flowered 06.04.2017. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves dark green with purple-red tint.  Leaf margins and dense puberulence are purple-red. Leaves 6.0-11.0 cm long, 3.5-8.0 cm wide with 5.0-6.0 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, crenate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx red, densely purple-red puberulent, 1.1-1.5 cm long. Pedicel 7.0-10.0 cm long with 2-10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.0-5.2 cm long x 3.0-3.2 cm wide, purple-red. Suitable to grow in a scattered light environment, light intensity 10000-20000 lx, the temperature range 0-40℃, the optimum growth temperature is 15-28℃.
