Primulina ‘Spring Jewel’

Primulina ‘Spring Jewel’, 2020, IR201512, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Qian Song, Shikai Guan, Jingzhou He, Nanning, China. (P. liujiangensis  x  P. liboensis). Cross made 04.15.2017, seeds planted 06.26.2017, first flowered 03.26.2020. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves light green with white veins, 10.6-14.5 cm long, 8.2-12.3 cm wide, 2.6-6.5 cm long petiole, ovate with cuneate base, crenate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, light green, 0.7-1.1 cm long. Pedicel 1.4-1.8 cm long with 8-15 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.1-4.4 cm long x 1.2-1.3 cm wide, purple-red. Prefers more humid environment, does not tolerate direct sunlight. Optimal temperature range 20-28℃.
