Primulina ‘Summer Song’, IR141247, Toshijiro Okuto, Wen Fang*, Kakogawa, Japan, *Guilin, China. (P. guizhongensis x P.dryas ‘Latifolia Dwarf’).Cross made Sep.23, 2012, planted Nov.10, 2012 and first flowered July 22, 2014. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal Rosette. Leaves dark green with silver vein, 75 mm long x 45 mm wide, 40mm petiole, hairy, ovate with crenate margin, cuneate base and acute tip. Calyx split, greyed-green (RHS 193A}, 6 mm. Pedicel 20 mm, No of flowers per axil –4. Corolla salverform, 44mm long, 30mm wide, violet (RHS 87C). Distinguishing characteristics: The leaf has characteristic silver vein derived from the seed parent that can’t be seen on any of the hybrids with P. dryas.
