Primulina ‘Suyan’

Primulina ‘Suyan’, 2020, IR201494, hybridized by Shikai Guan, Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao, Jinye Zhou, Nanning, China. (P. pungentisepala  x  P. macrorhiza). Cross made 03.07.2018, seeds planted 05.16.2018, first flowered 03.06.2020. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green with white veins, 9.5-10 cm long, 4.5-5.3 cm wide, 5.3-7.0 cm long petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, serrate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, light brown to green, 0.6-0.9 cm long. Pedicel 5-8 cm long with 3-9 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.7-5.3 cm long x 1.2-1.5 cm wide, white. This hybrid needs scattered light, it cannot withstand direct light at all.  Suitable for temperature range 20-25℃, air humidity should be higher than 60%.
