Primulina ‘A Riot of Colour’

Primulina ‘A Riot of Colour’, 2020, IR201507, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Shikai Guan, Dayan Tao, Jinye Zhou, Nanning, China. (P. eburnea  x  P. longii). Cross made 04.10.2018, seeds planted 05.18.2018, first flowered 02.08.2020. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 10.6-17.1 cm long, 3.6-9.0 cm wide, 1.8-4.3 cm long petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, crenate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, brown and green, 1.2-1.4 cm long. Pedicel 1.4-1.9 cm long with 4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.7-6.2 cm long x 1.6-2.0 cm wide, dark purple. Excellent tolerance to heat and drought. Requires bright scattered sunlight and temperature range 18-28℃.
