Primulina ‘Sunset Glow’

Primulina ‘Sunset Glow’ 2020, IR201495, hybridized by Fang Wen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Guilin, China. (P. hociensis var. ochroleuca var. nov. mutation). Cross made around Sep. 2016, seeds planted around Dec.2016, flowers observed first time 09.30.2018. Fertile. Basal rosette. Leaves green, slightly thick and fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, 4-5 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, 2-4.5 cm long petiole, elliptic to ovate with cuneate to oblique base, entire margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, purple to brownish purple, ca. 5 mm long. Pedicel 1-1.5 cm long with 4-6, sometimes more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 1.8-2.5 cm long x 1-1.2 cm wide, yellow inside with a reddish tint outside. Prefers bright scattered natural light, moist but well drained calcium rich substrate (pH equal or above 7), do not overfertilize.
