Primulina ‘Yan’s Wish’

Primulina ‘Yan’s Wish’, 2020, IR201503, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Qian Song, Shikai Guan, Changyan Huang, Nanning, China. (P. sp. x P. lungzhouensis). Cross made 04.02.2018, seeds planted 05.21.2018, first flowered 03.01.2020. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green, 10.5-12.2 cm long, 5.0-8.2 cm wide, 2.1-4.6 cm long petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, serrate margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, light green, 1.1-1.2 cm long. Pedicel 3.5-5 cm long with 3-5 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.2-5.6 cm long x 1.3-1.4 cm wide, purple red. The plants require strong but indirect light and high moisture and humidity levels. However, they will not withstand waterlogging.
