Streptocarpus ‘Dale’s Polar Canary’

Streptocarpus ‘Dale’s Polar Canary’, 2017, IR171362, hybridized by D. Martens, IL.  (S. ‘Suzie’s Sister’ x S. ‘Heartland’s Midas Touch’). Cross made Aug. 2013, planted Oct. 2013, and first flowered Jan. 2014.  Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves variegated: yellow and green, 20cm long, 6cm wide, with 1.5cm petiole, bullate, linear with cordate base, crenate margin and acute tip. Calyx split, green/variegated, 4mm long. Pedicel 10 cm long with 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5cm long, 4 cm wide, bi-color lavender/yellow, lower 3 lobes are yellow with purplish lines and shadows.This was first bi-color, compact size Streptocarpus with variegated foliage.
