Sinningia ‘Hector’s Starry Night’

Sinningia ‘Hector’s Starry Night’, 2017, IR171386, hybridized by Hector Wong, HI.  (S. ‘Bristol’s Good Morning’ x (S. ‘Snezhana’ x S ‘Baikhovi Chintz’)). Cross made 11/05/2014, planted 12/05/2014, and first flowered 06/09/2015.  Reproducible only vegetatively. Miniature S. speciosa growth habit, basal rosette with 0.5 in stem. Leaves green, 2 in long, 1.5 in wide, with 0.25 in petiole, orbicular with cordate base, crenate margin and rounded tip, bullate, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.25 in long. Pedicel 2.5 in long with 1 flower per axil. Corolla peloric, upright with radial symmetry, 1.5 in long x 2 in wide, white, wide purple and white borders, purple dots. Center of the petals has less dots creating a pinwheel appearance.
