Sinningia ‘Rock Rays’

Sinningia ‘Rock Rays’, 2018, IR181403, hybridized by Jay Sespico, FL. (S. Charles Lawn’s seedling x S. ‘Rock Loves Dale’). Cross made 08.01.2016, planted 01.27.2017, and first flowered 03.07.2018.  Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. S. speciosa type (basal rosette). Leaves green with lighter lighter veination, 6 in. long, 4 in. wide, with 3 in. petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, crenate margin and acute tip. Calyx split, green,1 in. long. Pedicel 3 in. long with 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform 3.5 in. long x over 4 in. wide, white with purple lobes and rays radiating from the center of the lobes.
