Streptocarpus ‘Cranberry’

Streptocarpus ’Cranberry’. 1999, IR99595, J. Ford, OH. [1992]. (‘Imperial Lavender Lace’ x 129-A). Seed fertile, pollen sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette mature in 15 cm (6 in.) pot. Leaves bullate, dark green, 18 cm long x 6 cm wide, elliptic with serrate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. 2-3 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, semi-double, tube 3 cm long, limb 5 cm x 5 cm, coral pink with dark rose throat bleeding onto lower three lobes. First commercial listing 1993, Tiki Nurs. cat. “Semi-double coral-pink bloom; dark rose splashes striped burgundy on lower three petals.”
