Streptocarpus ’Dragon’

Streptocarpus ’Dragon’, 2012, IR121186, Gunilla Ridderberg, Sweden. (S. ‘Bristol’s Red Typhoon x S.  (‘Dale’s Scarlet Macaw’ x self). Cross made Sept. 1, 2009, planted Nov. 26, 2009 and first flowered Nov. 4, 2010. Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette with curled edges on leaves. Leaves medium green, 5-6 in. long x 1.5 in. wide, oblong with crenate margin and rounded tip. 5 to 6 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, 1.5 in. wide, very dark red, shading to black in throat.
