Streptocarpus ‘Ronduls Rebecca’

Streptocarpus ‘Ronduls Rebecca’, 2011, IR111170, Ron Clarke, England. (S. ‘Ronduls Kristin’ x S. ‘Ronduls Merle’). Cross made June 2007, planted Sept. 2007 and first flowered May 2008. Fertile but reproduclble only vegetatively. Fairly large but well rounded rosette. Leaves bullate, mid green, 27 cm long x 12 cm wide, elliptic with crenate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. Calyx split, green, 5 mm long. 2 to 7 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, 3.3 cm long x 3.5 cm wide, outside tube white turning cobalt violet with age, face spotted and veined Windsor violet on white background with a paler Windsor violet on edges of all lobes, throat white with a spotted vein coming onto top lobes and seven spotted lines merging together and extending onto lower lobes. Available from hybridizer and Frank Davies.
