Streptocarpus ‘Simon’s Pink Dragon’

Streptocarpus ‘Simon’s Pink Dragon’, 2015, IR151294, hybridized by Simon Jones, UK, (Unnamed seedling x seedling). Cross made Aug 1, 2011, planted Feb. 2012, and first flowered Sep.15, 2012. Fertile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves dark glossy green, 24cm long x 7cm wide with 3 cm petiole, linear with entire and smooth margin, cuneate base and acute tip. Calyx brown/dark purple, 9mm, fused. Pedicel 5mm long, 5 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform,5 cm long x 5 cm wide heavily netted flowers of varying shades of pink. Upper lobes are light pink with dark pink netting, lower lobes are darker pink with red/purple netting. The upper lobes are heavily ruffled, they and the lower lobes never fully unfurl leaving a white margin to the flowers. White upper throat.
