Streptocarpus ‘UA-Diana’

Streptocarpus ‘UA-Diana’, 2011, IR111151, Julia Sklvarova, Ukraine. (S. ‘Red Alert’ x S. ‘Persian Carpet’). Cross made Oct. 3, 2008, planted Dec. 12, 2008 and first flowered Aug. 13, 2009. Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette. Leaves dark green, 25 cm long x 10 cm wide, elliptic to oblong with undulate margin and acute tip. Calyx fused, pigmented. Pedicel 8-9 cm tall with 5 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, 4 cm long x 6-7 cm wide, dark and burgundy with white border, color becomes richer with each passing day.
